    I like what you say about willing to experience the unpleasantness of poor sleep until you don’t fear it.
    I am at this point of like you suggested to not care what happens in between the time I go to and get up out of bed.
    I had given it so much power.

    I have missed exits – I will not drive again unless I have at least adequate sleep. Please be careful and wise here.

    Great advice. I have centered my life’s activities around the insomnia. I no longer do that, I’m taking back the power I gave it and that has helped my anxious thoughts about lack of sleep

    I have been encouraged by the podcasts- you may be as well. I too am done w Ambien x 15 yrs. began week 2 of sleep restriction. I’ve registered and have been getting daily email insights from Martin . I highly recommend signing up for these.

    You can do this John. I’m in week 2, it is very difficult but I’m committed to getting my life back after 15 years of Ambien use

    Im sorry to hear of your struggles. I have them as well only I push them far in back of my head; I’m also on short term disability until 12/3 so I’m able to really have a go at this.

    I too am restricting my sleep time from 11-6am AND week 1 of weaning myself off Ambien. This is week 2 of sleep restriction.

    Listen to the podcasts- they will encourage you. Watch his You tubes for tips, they are very helpful.

    Im believing this will work eventually and to trust in the Lord to use this process.
