I honestly don’t know, but it’s gotten worse as I’ve gotten older. I know you’re supposed to get up and do something else when you wake up and can’t sleep, but that would wake my family up too, so I don’t really have that option. I usually just read for a couple of hours. I read a book by a sleep researcher recently, called “Why We Sleep”, by Matthew Walker and he said that’s common but really bad for you; waking up after 3-4 hrs sleep, I mean, and contributes to the development of Alzheimers, (among other things) so basically brain damage. But he said they don’t know what to do yet, for older people with that sleep problem. Which isn’t very encouraging, obviously.
