I am getting out of bed because I understand from the CBT-I principles that this is what needs to be done. I believe you call this stimulus control. If I could go back to bed and fall asleep, I would certainly do so. This is not happening and I take no pleasure in starting my day at 3:30 AM. If you have any specific guideline to suggest and which I could follow, I would greatly appreciate you letting me know.

I completely understand you. Try as hard as you can not take anti anxiety medication if possible. I know from personal experience. You will eventually feel more tired during the day and that will of course make matters worst. Good luck and hang in there.
