I do have a routine before bed . I guess my question is more what to do with my thoughts when my head hits the pillow? Do I just allow them to be and I will eventually fall asleep ? My thoughts just bounce around. I try so hard to relax in bed and not think of anything. It’s so hard for me to remember what I did when I was a good sleeper .
I too have had these issues . I’ve made sleep such a traumatic experience that a few nights of no sleep sets me off . I have trouble falling asleep , as soon as my head hits the pillow my mind wakes up, almost like it’s just sitting in a waiting room just bored . I start deep breathing and relaxing and letting thoughts just pass . Sometimes it works sometimes not .I feel like I’ve forgotten how to fall asleep. What does everyone do with their thoughts while laying in bed waiting for sleep?
