Sleeping together is aligned with the life I want to live, but I am also still trying to have grace with myself and understand there are times when it might benefit me more to sleep separately. What is stressful though is that our guest room is occupied about 3-4 times a month and I no longer has it as a backup/safety net to fall on if I am struggling in our shared bedroom. I find that just the thought of that alone will make me sleep worse since my backup option is gone. I know this is because I am putting more pressure on myself to sleep well since I can’t move beds when we have a guest over, but removing this pressure feels impossible.
