Thank you for your reply, I agree with you 100% about it being an anxiety disorder that shows up with sleep issues.
I struggled very mildly with it more so when I was on vacation, or not sleeping in my bed (ie. sleep overs with friends) that sort of thing, I never found I could sleep well in these situations, but they were only one offs, and then when I would come home my sleep would resume.
I have never struggled with not being able to sleep in my normal day to day life.During my pregnancy I had issues sleeping but moreso just anxiety and putting pressure on myself to “sleep now” because I won’t when the baby comes.
I think that attitude fed into my insomnia because I was soo worried about not being alert or attentive as a new first time mother and also worried about my daughter as she had health issues at birth and we were separated for 24 hours. The MAJOR insomnia started the day she was born, after a 35 hr delivery I probably slept 4 hours in 3 days I could NOT let my mind shut off.
I thought it was hormonal but now that is resurfaced again, I realize there is a bigger issue.I want to sleep how I did pre baby! my baby sleeps through the night, she never wakes me up…its my insomnia that keeps me up.
I am currently taking CBD/THC gummies 2mg, and they have been working very well but of course want to sleep without taking anything at all and that is my ultimate goal.
