    Hi Marie!

Thank you very much I will check it out. I was actually thinking about reading at night or doing something other than watching tv to see if that will help. I’ll check it out tonight! Thanks again! 🙂 I’m in the US but I’m sure I’ll be able to find it.

Good morning Marie! That’s great you slept well! I hear ya on that one I had a couple of bad nights to and slept pretty good last night too. Is the Audio book from this site or somewhere else? I’ll have to check it out. After some bad nights sleep i was starting to dread bed time but trying to change that. Let me know where to find it if you get a minute I’ll check it out. Have a great day! 🙂

    Hello!

Thank you, I will definitely look into it. I’m a very happy person and never thought anything of that sort. One day I just couldn’t sleep like I did. I have been to the doctor and they told me as you age you lose your natural I believe it’s Maltonin. She told me 35 and up. Also the fact that I was transitioned to work from home and my bed times as I was all over the place and didn’t have a set time or even a ball park. Hopefully we all get to where we want to be soon!

Thank you I appreciate it! This is a tough thing to get a grip on but helps to talk to nice people about it 🙂

Yes I can relate to anxiety as I didn’t suffer from anxiety until I started not sleeping. Once bed time comes it has created an anxiety from me but I’m trying not to think of that and focus on my day during the day. As the videos have said sleep will come. Your body will eventually sleep no matter what. Seems to be a mind set of not thinking about our sleep now. Yes!
We are alive and will remain alive just a bump in the road as I like to say :). Life isn’t always perfect just have to tackle these things that come up in life once in awhile and deal with them the best way we can 🙂 Marie, if you ever need someone to talk to about this or vent feel free to send me a message. We will get through this!

    Hi Marie,

I am in a similar situation just a bit older than you, I am 41. Within the last month I seemed to forget how to sleep too. This seems to be a common thing as you will see in this forum. It does helps to see we are not alone. I came across Martins videos and found the testimonials helpful. It’s funny there are sorta rules in place to get to sleep but they do masks sense I definitely related to the things some of the people were doing to get to sleep. I wish you the best of luck but just wanted to say you are not alone and we will get through this sleep thing 🙂

    Hi Jim,

Thanks for the response I appreciate it! I will check out the apps soon. Thanks for the tip. I have never done meditation but as I’m sure you are aware we will do almost anything to fix our sleep lol The coffee thing surely makes sense it’s just sometimes when you didn’t have the best of sleep it helps. I got it down to a cup of coffee maybe 2 before noon but I can surely try. Maybe just sleeping pills it’s just a crutch. There are foods you can eat that will give you energy boosts. Thanks again! Keep doing what you’re doing! Happy to hear people are beating this thing.

I thought I replied to you but doesn’t look like it went through. I apologize if that’s the case. It’s hard to stay away from caffeine but I have a rule not to drink it past noon. I try to take walks on my breaks and in the morning as well. I feel that it’s helped as well. Do you have any videos of meditations you use? I haven’t tried that but willing to try almost anything at this point. I’ve had some zero sleep nights but not every night thankfully. Last night was around 5 or 6. I try. Not to track as I don’t want it to stress me out more if I have a bad night. Cause as we know stress is not good if you are trying to improve your sleep. Thanks for the reply and best of luck to you too!

And you are not alone with frustration and beating yourself up. I have done that as well. I am learning to do as Martin says. Just know that your body gave you just enough sleep that day to make it through. Basically take all the burdens off us because if we are stressed we probably won’t sleep too good. I found when I listened to that I did better.

I hear ya. I am a newbie in this insomnia thing and it’s like you said no fun. I have tried over the counters and they worked when they want to. After which you seem to become immune to them. I have been trying to be more active outside as well but I’m in Chicago and the weather isn’t always good this time of year. I was doing better when I was when we had some nice days. I hope you are at least getting some sleep these days. I last week was really good for me but this week has been challenging. I’m trying to do the same thing and go to bed around the same time everyday. I guess I’m just gonna have bad nights here and there until I get back on track

On the days you got like 4 hours sleep how do you stay away to stay on schedule? Or do you go to sleep when you feel tired? Does it throw you off track? Thanks again for your help and feedback

Thank you for the reply back I appreciate it. I get sleep for the most part. Like last week I slept good but this week not so much. I’m trying to get on a schedule. Been walking everyday which I think helps I haven’t tried mediation I’ll have to try that. This is all new to me. This was sprung on me in the last few weeks.
