I give myself some time to fall asleep but if I notice I’m pretty awake after a while I get out of bed and go on the couch and read until I feel sleepy again and try again. It can be like ping pong at times. Some nights I feel sleepy and I stay in bed all night, but I feel like I’m just laying there with my eyes closed all night not really sleeping. But I must be getting some sleep because I usually wake up feeling rested.
My oldest is 4 and youngest is 17 months. Thankfully both have been excellent sleepers since an early age. But still, I developed insomnia during pregnancy, then newborns….hahaha. I’m not a stressed or anxious person, but having my sleep constantly change during the last few year, I’m not surprised it’s a little out of whack now.
