It does get you down doesn’t it, I have tried getting out of bed, just for around ten minutes, I have tried this before but it never helps, I understand the logic behind it though. Yes I am the same, the day weighs you down. I actually go to the gym to tire myself out, that doesn’t work either, never, I mean it may do for some people, but not for me. If you want to ever chat on WhatsApp, instead of on here, I don’t mind.

It has really good feedback about sleep, the prices range from about £10-£20 or a bit higher, I don’t know what it would in dollars though.

Depression, weight loss, anxiety. There are different strengths of it, I went off an affordable one and just looked at the reviews.

I found it on Amazon, it helps with numerous things including sleep, it increases serotonin levels.

Sleepless in SSB Yes its like Benadryl. With me, my mind races a lot during the day, so anything that I may think about often, I’ve just started to write down, so once I’ve seen it on paper, I won’t go over it again. Its there, but I won’t dwell on it. Then I do the same the next day, its more like I just jot small points down. I find it therapeutic and because I’m trying to turn negatives into positives, I’m thinking its doing a lot of good. I will look for Martin’s free sleep course. Have you tried 5 HTP . I came across it last year, but didn’t really try it, but started with it yesterday.

Also up to now, only two days writing points of my thoughts and feelings, I feel good about it, I can then concentrate on the good and positives. Instead of dwelling on the not so good.

Yes sorry I spelt it wrong, its Phenergan. Its Promethazine hydrochloride, there are two strenths, I get the 25mg, I cut them down, I just do it this way to see how I go. I’m in the UK.

    Hi Sleepless in SSB,

Yes I thought that before about it being subconsciously. I read I few things on here and from today, I have been writing things down. Whether its a good thought or not so good and focusing on the good things and to do the same the next day. I’ve never wrote things down before about it.  I have had in the past prescription drugs, but this caused weight gain. So I am trying Phennergan at the moment, I can get it on prescription, but its cheaper to buy OTC, its still trial and error with this, doesn’t cause weight gain, but I found need to take at least three hours before bed. Yes I get very dry eyes, not good, just so weary today, though my body is feeling ok just. It is very frustrating like you say.  Thank you, Good luck to you too.

Hi I can completely understand what you are going through, I feel I cannot take much more either, my life is deteriorating too I feel. My insomnia started about 3 years ago. I don’t have it every night, I have insomnia when I am doing something in particular the next day, whether its work or seeing the family for example. I never slept a wink last night. I am at a complete loss. I can only describe it, as my mind is going into survival mode and I have to keep awake no matter what, that’s how I feel about it, even though I am going to bed relaxed and not thinking of anything, I just lie there hour after hour. I take OTC tablets, but not had much success.
