Ellyboo✘ Not a client
Ok, it’s me again. I’m on 1.3 grains of Zolpidem (there are 2 grains weight in 1 10mg tablet). I’d doing great. The first day or two is not great but after that I’m sleeping like a baby again. I have 4 more days of 1.3 grains, then down to 1.1 grain (a little more than 5mg tablet). Every two weeks I go down .2 grains. In a couple months I will be off of it, more or less. Just wanted to give an update on my progress. And by the way, Kevin1953 is the one who gave me the great advice to go down slowly (10% every couple weeks). Thanks again Kevin!
Ellyboo✘ Not a clientYes, of course getting off of Ambien is important. It is an addiction and I don’t like being
addicted anymore. And in 20 years my doctor has NEVER brought up my using zolpidem and how I’m doing on it, not once. One time I brought it up and told him I was sleeping really well and he didn’t even respond. I guess he must disapprove of me using it. No response, no comment. And THAT is why I want to get off of it. And yes, I have seen many people suggest a taper schedule and I posted mine to help other people. Not everyone needs to join a sleep organization to help them sleep. No, I won’t bring it up to my current doctor. When I am off it I will switch doctors. Probably in 3 months or so. Right now I am tapered down to 3/4 of 10mg. Next week I will go somewhere in between 3/4 and 1/2 .. then 2 weeks later down to 5mg. And so on.Ellyboo✘ Not a clientHello, I’m on 10 mg of Zolpidem for the past 20 years. I just started taking 3/4 of a tab and I will do that for 2 or 3 weeks. The first 2 days were good but last night I only got about 5 hours of sleep. Any specific suggestions about a taper schedule? Thank you!
