Thanks for the reply. I decided to keep the CES device and continue to use it. I am off the anxiety drug now and will be off the depression drug at the end of the month. Hopefully I have a start on good things to come. I use it twice a day. We will what the next month brings. Good luck

The website has a person who is able to write a Rx in the event a person's own doc will not and I did not ask I just used her for $50. But I would be interested to see what a psyc doc would say since this a mini form of ECT for depression. Stimulation of the brain is what I believe that I have benefitted from the most whether it is for seratonin/melatonin enhancement or other chemical reactions. I am trying to tweak the device first for insomnia with anxiety and depression secondary as I think that is more long term. Although I have not gotten the immediate results in five weeks that I hoped for, I am inclined to favor keeping the device for its long term promise. I am using sleep supplements and natural vitamins that are know sleep aids as well as brain waive technology files that I listen to every night for a little over an hour purchased from this web site. The combination of all of these will give me an idea.what I need in the future without an Rx for drugs. Years of not doing the right thing will not be easy to reverse.

AD is an antidepressant taper (remeron) which also is used for sleep disorders on a sedative basis. Works at first but wears off over time. I think that since all drugs of this type chemically affect the brain, they overpower any other function until they are eliminated and a device like the Fisher Wallace becomes secondary and ineffective, just my opinion at this point since I have not had any luck with it.

Yes, about five weeks. The session is for 20 minutes, four levels. I do it twice day. The only regret I that I wish that I was drug free before I tied to use it. The basis is for brain reaction and stimulation. I have come to the short conclusion that the brain must be free to have the device work as it should. As an example. since I am tapering from Xanax now, a benzo affects 12 different spots in the brain and I think that causes interference despite what the device is trying to do. Add in AD taper and it is too much. I am likely to return it since I simply don't know if it actually will work but I at least tried. I am using sleep, stress and anxiety files from Insomnia land nightly for about a month also and will continue to do so. Hope the this helps.

I am using the Fisher Wallace brand. According to what they said as well as on this site, medication should not have any effect on the utilization of this device. It is for brain stimulation which is the reason that I tried it. I can usually go to sleep but wake up very early after about 3 1/2 hours of sleep. I do take some supplements with the usual sleep ingrediants that most contain. Nothing has helped so far. While I am not skeptical, this device so far simply has not worked yet. If it takes two months for me, then I have a decision to make before thinking about returning it. I have tried that various settings up to the maximum so far. It has been on the market since 1992 and is FDA approved. I wish more results were forthcoming. The company does advertise that it helps more than insomnia and I don't feel any results with that either. The price would be worth it if it would help and I certainly woujld advise anyone who sees results to keep doing it because I don't think it is mind over matter. Correction of a chemical imbalance is the prize here and for obvious reasons to all of us who suffer from insomnia. Hope this helps.

Have been using this type of device for a little over 30days for insomnia. So far it has not helped much and it does have a return policy of sixty days. Don't know if I will keep it or not. Am getting only about

3 1/2 hours of sleep now nd that has not changed since I started using it. I am on a taper for a benzo and a AD so don't know if tht has interfered. It is supposed to be helpful with serotonin and melatonin levels in a manner to restore natural sleep. We will see.

The seasons don't make much difference for me. Am trying to get to natural sleep after many years of Rx meds in one form or another. Using every method that I had read about, I am still a chronic insomniac that can't get to sleep and will be 66 years old. Hope for the future on anything except meds because supplements don't work regardless of their claims.
