Thank you both! I’m pleased to report that this has not happened since and I’ve managed to stay awake until my sleep window starts… woohoo 🙂

It hasn’t been a perfect week and I had anxiety in bed for 2 nights but that’s to be expected.

When this happened I got up out of bed… moved to my sofa and then sat there calmly until I felt ready to try getting back in bed again. I had to repeat this process a few times through the night.

Not having access to the time and clock watching has also really helped me.

I made this mistake last year and it honestly created more of an issue and fear of the bed. Since I started the course this week I moved back to sharing a bed with my husband and even during difficult moments I haven’t bailed on the sofa. It’s one of my biggest achievements this week. If you want to share a bed with your partner I’d recommend continuing to do so, so it doesn’t become an issue.

    Hey Priyanka,

If you are unclear how much sleep you’re getting then give yourself a 6-hour sleep window. I’m certain this is what is suggested in the course. I am in the same situation and this is what I implemented this week.
