Hi Martin, thanks for responding. Yes I am tired at 10:00-10:30. I am generally tired by the evening and by 9 I usually start my no electronics winding down for the night things. Reading or some other kind of activity. As far as why I can’t get back to sleep it varies. I have a busy mind so if there is something on my mind i will start thinking about it. There have been a lot of very stressful things that have occurred over the last couple of years in my life. Other times I think it is just hard for me to relax and I just get upset because I am awake and thinking I won’t get back to sleep and thinking I am going to be dragging all day. Obviously this is the opposite of what I should be doing. I am almost freaked out now by being awake during the night. I try breathing, listening to meditation or sleep music on my phone, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t.

i go to bed around 10:00 10:30. My sleep problems have varied over the years. I have had problems falling asleep but now it’s more like waking at 1 or 2 am and being up for a long time or just waking at 4 am. If I do stay up later which I have tried I wake up early anyway if I stay up til 12 I will wake at about 5. So that’s my story been to two sleep docs. One recommended sleep restriction but I work and don’t know if I can function on 4 hours as she suggested. The other gave me meds not crazy about that. Thanks
