Kik✘ Not a client
Good Times: It feels like Spring has sprung this week and I've managed to exercise outside for five days in a row now.
Bad Times: The exercise is not helping my insomnia. I only got about two or three hours this morning.
Good Times: The Mentalist is on in 15 minutes. Perfect guilty pleasure TV for a Friday night 🙂
Kik✘ Not a clientNot for me. 🙁 Any noise that isn't background noise (like the radiator etc) will keep me awake/ wake me up.
While I was in bed the other night, I had my phone on charge and for some reason the ac/dc was making a squealing noise. The noise reminded of Plug In Baby by Muse and I was up straight away. It's an awesome song, but definitely not a soothing one 🙂
Kik✘ Not a clientI have hallucinated while trying to get to sleep.
I have pretty bad eyesight, so when I'm lying in bed, trying to relax I will generally see shadows casting strange shapes in my room. There have been occasions when I've been overtired and “seen” shadowy creatures in my room that have scared me awake.
During the day, I often see lights in the corners of my eyes which can sometimes make me react like there's something behind me or I've just caught something disappear around the corner and out of sight.
Strange that it only ever happens in doors. I've never experienced it outside.

It's my lifelong dream to be published. good luck with the script frenzy, Kik!
Cheers! 🙂
Kik✘ Not a client'Martin' wrote on '03:You know, I remember reading something that debated the whole tradition of couples sleeping together in the same bed. Apparently, in the olden days only the poor would sleep together; the aristocracy would always have separate beds. As you became wealthier, you could afford the extra space (and bed) and no longer needed to sleep with your partner.
I also read an article along these lines a couple of months ago (might have been New Scientist). Apparently the norm of couples sharing a bed is a result of the industrial revolution and space being at a premium in cities.
I am one who can't sleep without my partner which is part of the reason for my insomnia. We're currently living on either side of England and wont have the opportunity to live together for at least another 18 months. On the few occasions we do get to see eachother and spend the night, I sleep like a baby. Annoying, but what can ya do? 🙂
Kik✘ Not a clientI went to a Tattoo convention in Brighton at the end of January which was good fun, but I've never seen so many Koi Carp tatts in my life! I really loved this guy's artwork: http://www.funkytat.com/japanese
Don't know if I'd ever get one as I change my mind about my design every five minutes 🙂
Kik✘ Not a clientBooks vs Films? I think it's unfair to compare two different mediums. With books you generally have one author and their imagination. But a film can have thousands of people all adding their contributions to tell the story.
That even goes for Zack Snyder and his team's attempt to put Watchmen on screen, even though the film may as well have been a slideshow of the graphic novel.
Kik✘ Not a clientI write, although I procrastinate about writing more. 😀
I completed the Nanowrimo competition last November (I'm still editing the novel) and I'm planning to enter the Script Frenzy competition next month.
I enjoy writing for recreation, but being published one day would be amazing.
Kik✘ Not a clientI still listen to all the same bands I did in my late teens and early twenties. Namely Feeder, Muse, Foo Fighters, Incubus, Chilli Peppers and the like.
I went to see Feeder again last month. They were great, but it was strange to see them back on tour now they're in their 40s 🙂
