Yes, super common. I’ve learned it’s because we’re anticipating not sleeping & remembering all of the messed up body symptoms, mental stuff that goes with it. Also coming with that is “trying to sleep”, which fails miserably. The answer is letting go of trying to sleep, BTW I find myself still subconsciously trying to sleep!
Try moving locations, listen to your favorite podcast or watch a movie/series. Interesting I find it love listening to the success stories of different insomnia stories that are now on the other side of insomnia when I can’t sleep. Also if you go into panic, do the deep breathing exercises for anxiety, lots of utube videos on them. I visualize my body calming down & the adrenaline subsiding.
    Best to you Kimberly ♡

I have the same thing, the anxiety continues until I do the awake exercises and listen to a podcast. These shares and videos are so invaluable to me. There’s a little bit of me in all of the shares, makes me feel not so alone.
I especially found hope with setback shares. I’ve done really well for a few weeks, then have an all nighter. When I have the all nighters, I tend to fall asleep super early, wake up at 1am-2am, then fall asleep at 5am with panic. I know I’m chasing sleep subconsciously. All of the people on the other side have a “same vibe, fuck it” attitude.
Thank you to everyone that shares!!!

Yes, I was doing pretty good with the sleep window for 4-6 weeks on another program, I changed bc it caused too much anxiety. 2 traumatic events happened & now it’s worse than ever. 3 all nighters, but I am making myself do things with a little sleep & hv had great results being active, not giving into the anxiety. The all nighters seriously cause extreme anxiety, body weirdness & loss of confidence, but I hv enough wins to keep me going. The videos help so much when im wide awake. I just think of all of the ppl that check into the hospital;(
We’re in this together, it makes such a difference knowing we’re not alone ♡

Im tired during the day & get progressively more awake as the night goes on. Im Obviously in a setback as I was doing a sleepwindow on another program. When im in the thick of it, like now, it’s hard to remember my wins. I’ve had a lot of them. I think the “awake” exercise will help.
