Hi there! I just joined this forum and saw your message. I’m a Midwife and suffer from insomnia, since I had my last baby. I tell all mamas to make sleep a priority, by taking naps whenever you feel sleepy. Dont fight the sleepy feeling when it comes on, whatever the time of day, cause it becomes a habit, and you may start to avoid sleep altogether! If there is a time of day or night you really need to sleep, but your baby is active, see if you can create a routine, where daddy or someone who supports you, takes the baby for a few hours while you go and sleep alone. Another tip…. have your baby sleep with you, so you can nurse without getting up and down and up and down, get a king size bed if you can.
