Your answers are SO SPOT ON! I’m still using the CBT coach, but I’m almost ready to quit her, and start your online coaching…Just rather on the fence yet. However, last night, I didn’t sleep much, but used your info about accepting anxiety, stress, etc, and just laid in bed. Yes, I was anxious and stressed, but I was kind to myself (thanks to YOU) and after getting little sleep, I’m still ok! Yea, I’m exhausted but I’m NOT angry–at me, or my husband.
MontanaJo✓ ClientDear Ken,
It is so hard, when you are going through this. I was using marijuana for about 3 years to help me sleep, and I don’t think I even knew I had insomnia. It got the point I was taking more and more to “sleep” and it didn’t work any more. I’ve been in the REAL insomnia battle for months now, without using marijuana. some days (nights) I feel crazy, However, I have found Marvin on line, and even though I’m not “fixed” at all, I’m to the point (some days) that I’m ok. Try watching some of this videos–#48 and #60 really helped me. I was ready to start taking marijuana again, after 30 minutes of sleep a whole night, but I made it. It’s a process, not a quick fix. Give yourself space to learn, and sleep less (yes, thank you Marvin.) By the by, I’m 70, so insomnia is no respecter of age. Be kind to you. And eventually, you’ll be able to get off the meds that are not really working anyway…that’s what I’ve learned here…
MontanaJo✓ Clienttim, I’m on this journey, sleep issues for about 4 months…”On nights where I struggled with wakefulness I began using the AWAKE exercise and likewise the NOW exercise when thoughts took me away from things I was doing during the day.” What does this mean?
