    Hi Donna!

Im right there with you. My insomnia issues really got bad at the same time as another health issue. I had some really bad vertigo and no one could find a cause. That got me worrying so much about brain tumors and other possibilities that I couldn’t sleep and then I was dizzier.

I also thought insomnia was related to my work and I’m still not sure that wasn’t a factor but even since I quit I’m still having issues.

Glad to connect here and trade stories and helpful ideas. I’m thinking of a few for you.

    Hi Steve and Donna too!

i tried trazadone a few times but it didn’t work for me. I’m looking for more natural remedies that can help me sleep. Do you know of any? I’m also looking for some friends who can help me feel supported during this time. I’ve been struggling about 2 years with very severe insomnia. I’m letting go of the fears but still looking for the solutions. If you can think of any good tips let me know. 🙂

I feel like a Zombie a lot too! I completely understand.

i have also struggled with PTSD and I do understand what it’s like.

I’m optimistic that things will keep getting better for both of us and I’m glad to have the chance to connect with you  about these issues. 🙂

Worry and anxiety is also a factor in my insomnia issues. I have been working a lot on reducing anxiety at night. It does seem to help me fall asleep faster. I do deap breathing techniques to slow down my thoughts. And I try to think positive. I try to address issues that worry me if they can be done quickly like check to make sure the door is locked and ones that take more time I make a note and then try to put that idea to rest until morning.

I like to drink valarian or chamamille tea at night too. Something else that I do to reduce worry at night is kind of like self affirmations. Instead of focusing on the bad or hard things i remind myself of the things I’m good at. Things in my life that have gone well. The things I am greatful for.
