It happened again last night, this time after just one hour of sleep. I woke up feeling like there’s no life or energy in my body. It’s such an awful feeling. Didn’t want to try to get up and out of bed. After two hours I put earbuds in and listened to a sleep hypnosis thing from you tube and fell asleep for one hour. This is so bad. I really need your advice please.

It’s been going on so long and harder to cope with that I have developed weird symptoms and habits like tensing/gripping my body in an attempt to fight it off. It’s gone beyond normal fatigue. I shake when I have to get out out of bed dreading how I’ll feel. When I stand it feels so heavy and awful. I can’t relax now during the day because when I finally “let go” I feel the fatigue even more. I don’t know how I’ll ever break this cycle.

    Hi Martin
Not really putting pressure on myself ~ really can’t handle the physical part. It feel so awful that I can’t get back to sleep. The degree of fatigued scares me and feels horrific. I don’t know how to handle it. I’ve had lab work done and nothing wrong thankfully but it feels so bad.

Hi yes very sleepy at 10. When I wake up a few hours later my extreme physical symptoms (like there’s no life in my body, exhausted, heavy feeling) feel so bad and then all the thoughts eventually come in; missing my life, my family is worried about me, when will this end, all come in. So between the physical and then the mental I can’t sleep. I force myself out of bed but I’m too awake after all that ti talk back to sleep. Total misery Thank you for responding ???

Hi. I’m giving myself 5.5 hours. And yes after over two years I’m very sleep deprived. I’m just wondering if instead of taking a wake up time of 5 and counting backwards to 11:30 if it’s better to let myself go to sleep at 9:30 when I’m so ready and getting up at 3, changing my sleep window time to match when I’m naturally sleepy. Thinking maybe I’d sleep better.

I have similar fears. It’s been a year and a half of severe insomnia. I now have weird head pain and burning sensations abs pressure. My body feels awful. Feels like it will never recover and be normal again. Just want my life back to how it was before. Praying for you and me and anyone else struggling. No one really knows how awful insomnia is until they’ve experienced it long term. Sending blood thoughts to you….
