Thank you. I was curious if you have heard of people having rushes in their body as they are finally relaxed and about to fall asleep. I’m getting them through my stomach. Almost like a hot feeling and surge of something. It stops me from sleeping.
Last night I tried my first night of sleep restriction. Was up until
1 am. I actually felt sleepy and fell asleep on the couch while watching a show for 20 min. Went upstairs to bed and then experienced these rushes until 5 am. I had to turn my alarm off because I didn’t want to get just two hours of sleep. Not sure how to fix this so I can really follow this restriction protocol. It feels very uncontrollable
smileboxforlyme✓ ClientI think this is what I get in my stomach. I got covid 6 months ago and experience rushes through my stomach and chest. It will be just as I’m finally relaxed and falling asleep. I have to
Take a Xanax too but it’s not been working. It’s awful. Not sure what to do as it’s keeping me up until 4-5 am.smileboxforlyme✓ ClientThank you. It is very difficult. When I first get into bed I’m ok. After 2 hours I start to get really worried that I won’t sleep at all. Now that I’ve experienced not sleeping days on end I know my body is capable of doing that. Which I never thought possible. I get really scared and worried. Especially with the muscle aches in my arms and burning feelings. I’ll feel so exhausted every day but not feel relaxed and sleepy. I start to panic around 2 am. Then in the AM it depends. I can usually handle the first few hours of the day i I’ve gotten about 3 hrs of sleep. By 3/4 the feeling in my arms comes back and I start to feel very worried about night again. I truly feel traumatized. I worry this won’t stop happening.
I’m working with a CBTI person and we were doing compression. Now she’s thinking restriction. But I have so many bodily sensations keeping me awake. Also GI issues from covid. Not sure if even restriction will help.
Basically I’m scared.
