I’m so sorry Sheena, same thing happened to me. It’s been a struggle, but trying my best. Hang in there and stick with it! Hoping you recover sleep very soon!
Sonja Leslie✓ ClientWow, I can really resonate with these posts. My husband has been sleeping in our basement for about a year. It feels so unnatural and lonely but it’s been allowing him sleep when I am up all night. We recently started trying to sleep in the same room again , I’ve been sleeping on and off with him there, it was encouraging to see it was possible when my sleep drive is strong enough! However, It’s hard to deal with the sleep anxiety plus worry about keeping him up if I can’t sleep. Trying my best to deal with it & accept this will take time. Please keep going and don’t give up. Czor, if you can try your best to delay sleeping pills, I’ve just tapered off of mine and it was harder than dealing with my lack of sleep coming off of them. I wish someone would have encouraged me to try this CBT first. God bless you all.
Sonja Leslie✓ ClientYou’re not alone! I’ve had similar thoughts of my insomnia possibly causing dementia, especially since dementia runs in my family. I’m doing my best to believe the information that this lack of sleep will Not cause health issues. I hope it helps to know that others like myself have thoughts like you mentioned.
