Oh this all sounds so familiar to me! I am 2 weeks in the program, cruising along nicely and bam, suddenly yesterday night I couldnt sleep at all. Maybe i ate too late or was too active but anyway, hardly any sleep. I felt super bad in the afternoon and anxiety increased, preparing for the next night. The one thing that really helped me when I laid in bed was the phrase, there is just nothing I can do to make myself sleep. And I saw that I still try to control sleep and thought I did have success because I slept better the last two weeks. And suddenly after one bad night I had to draw the conclusion that I can not and will never be able to control sleep. And that is totally ok. And this whole insomnia thing gives an opening to grow in life and heal from this controlling behavior. Accept more and be ok with how it goes. Whatever it is.
