I prefer series. The Stephanie Plum books are a riot.

My favorite series is the Mrs Murphy books by Rita Mae Brown.

But my steady read for my morning break at work is my Women of Faith Study Bible.

Sorry I have not been on here, for some reason my computer or my server would not let me log onto a few different sites. Glad to be back.

Oh I have been on this merry go round.

First I used herbal remedies and for a short time they helped.

My doctor started off giving me Trazodone. And for a long time it worked. But then it stopped. It just stopped.

I took Lunesta for a while and it was OK but my insurance company must not have been getting a kick back on it because I got a letter telling me that they would not pay for it anymore.

I was ten forced into changing to Ambien, which did nothing. So we changed to Ambien CR. I thought that it was working OK, but my nighttime headaches got worse and I had trouble waking up in the mornings. Then one morning I found the whip cream sitting out on the counter, open and I figured out that the Ambien CR was making me sleep walk and sleep EAT.

Well it was off to the trash can with that one and my doc and I went back to basics.

Dealing with the chronic pain & my diabetes we went with combining Trazodone and Tizanidine. One without the other does not work, but for the time being the combination is helping.

Mind you, I have not slept through the night in years but I am getting more than before.

OK, this is a good one. My husband is a truck driver who is gone 4 to 6 nights a week, so it should not be an issue. But we started sleeping apart several years ago. I have nerve damage in my back and have a great deal of pain on a regular mattress, thank goodness for my king size waterbed. BUT, my husband's snoring not only makes noise it can cause the water filled mattress to vibrate! Try sleeping through that. But then my darling started developing problems in his neck & upper back and had to switch to a firm regular mattress. So our solution was to get him a really good set and he sleeps in another room when he is actually home. But we do not have seperate rooms, just seperate beds.

However, I actually do sleep better with loved ones, my cats. From one to all three, I do better when they snuggle up to me at night.

I have had a few meds that have caused me to gain. The most recent is the blood sugar meds I am on for the recently diagnosed diabetes. Totally sucks.

My kids have always picked on me about the fact that I am a Fleetwood Mac / Stevie Nicks fan. They liked to say that I am stuck in the 70's. But actually I listen to classic country & rock. And various others like Loreena McKennitt, Women of Faith, Herb Albert. I like to say that you never know what might come out of my CD player.
