Tommy ToXen✘ Not a client
I live in Worksop, Lily.
Loving it, Martin, great to finally be settled and live a stable life. Sleeping's not too bad now either!
Time to buckle down and get some work done finally and make something of myself!
Tommy ToXen✘ Not a clientBack online! 😆
Tommy ToXen✘ Not a clientI sort of phase in-and-out of Insomnia at the moment. I have weeks where I don't sleep very well, if I sleep at all. Can be up 2-3 nights at a time. Then other nights I'm absolutely shattered and can fall asleep about 8-9 PM and wake up at 2-3 AM.
I don't really say I “suffer” from Insomnia any more, I've come to terms with it and accepted it as part of who I am. If I'm up at night now I just get on with some work or something, I know eventually i'll sleep when absolutely exhausted enough.
But no, sleep has never gotten better, but as martain has said before, this is due to bad sleep hygeine – no set routine or anything of the likes, but like I say, I've pretty much come to terms with it as of late and don't stress about it as much as I used to
Tommy ToXen✘ Not a clientI used to be a shift worker, that was partly the reason of my sleeping getting so bad. No set routine etc, plus a lot of the times, when it started getting close to certain times I was too scared to go to sleep so couldn't settle, because usually I'd just start dropping off when the phone would ring and I'd need to go work. That was when I was a care worker, then when I ran a pub it was a similar thing though not really working shifts. I'd be up til 5 AM, by that time too scared to go to sleep cos at 6/7 a lorry would pull into car park, if I tried sleeping during the day one ofhte bar staff would intercom up or there'd be something I'd need to sort.
Tommy ToXen✘ Not a clientI don't any more, apart from the odd nights like tonight my sleeping is actually stabilising lately. Had a migraine yesterday so went to bed early, thus woke up early so not really Insomnia related this time.
But I used to homebrew, had a few 5 gallon barrels on the go at a time, I usually bought them from the farmers market stall in Barnsley Market, but sometimes online too.
You put the hops in an old pillowcase you don't want anymore or some form of cover bag, not air-tight though or you won't get the aroma (thus won't get the sedative effect), and then put that in your pillow. That way you don't need to worry about staining, a friend of mine even wrapped an old sheet around it too for good measure.
They used to last me a couple of months at a time. 🙂
Tommy ToXen✘ Not a clientHey Snowstorm welcome to InsomniaLand, how ya finding it so far? Care to tell us a little about yourself? I'm Tommy, 28 and I'm from Yorkshire, England.
Tommy ToXen✘ Not a clientIt'll definitely help. Putting the oils onto your pillow will help.
I preferred to stuff my pillow with real lavender & hops. Used to help me brilliantly!
Tommy ToXen✘ Not a clientHey Sleuthing & Lily 🙂
