Can we use the NOW exercise at night instead of the AWAKE if it makes more sense?

Also I practised the awake exercise and it generated, Even more anxiety, it felt overwhelming like I couldn’t stay with it or needed to distract myself – is this normal? Is there a timeframe to stay with it, and why is it higher than lowering? 😅
