Yep to medical advice, I know all the usual stuff about keeping the bedroom a calm place free of gadgets, painting the walls neutral colours, get up when you can't sleep etc. etc. and have an emergency supply of sleeping pills when nothing else works. I think half the problem is that I've taught myself to wake up at stupid o'clock when there's something on my mind, and it's a pattern I need to unlearn.
Actually it does help to know that it's not just me. Not that I'd wish insomnia on anyone, but you know what I mean.
