Jane✘ Not a client
Hi jessallie, welcome to the forum. Apologies for not seeing this before.
Well as it says on the tin, we can't guarantee a cure for your sleepless nights, but we can certainly offer advice.
Actually something you said got me wondering. You said you've had sleep troubles since starting the menopause? I'm not sure what the average age for that is, but maybe that's why I can't sleep? Never gave that a thought.
I can certainly understand you being at your wits end. I mean sleeping is so simple isn't it? Why is it that some people can zzzzzzzz away peacefully for 8 hours whilst the rest of us count sheep? It's so unfair isn't it. You really do have my sympathy.
We are always here for advice/help or even if you want a rant, which is understandable.
Welcome. 🙂
Jane✘ Not a clientWell last nights *sleep* was awful!!! My brain would not shut up. I've spent most of the night trying to go sleep!! 😡
Jane✘ Not a clientOf course one has to have a tipple to celebrate the festive occasion. 😆
My eldest got loads of Chelsea stuff to keep him happy. My youngest and OH are Spurs fans. Grrrrrrr@footy. 😡
Oh well, roll on next Christmas!! 😆
Jane✘ Not a client😆
I dunno what was wrong with me, I was having a weird dream about burglars breaking in and pinching all the prezzies!! Never fear, I've got my sons cricket bat to hand. 😆
I slept a bit better last night though.
Jane✘ Not a clientWho had a great Christmas then?? We had a great day. The kids loved all their presents and I didn't do so bad myself. I've got LOADS of pairs of socks, (my daughter gets sick of me pinching hers) 😆 . I got the entire 21 disc set of Hammer films, a new book, a new watch, (sorry Martin my sushi watch finally packed up) and some perfume.
What did you lot all get from Santa then?
Jane✘ Not a clientOn Christmas Day I was awake at 2am. I couldn't get back to sleep so I came downstairs and sat and watched RoadWars. It's about the police and the cameras follow them as they respond to calls and sort out the bad guys. I watched that for 2 hours until 4, then tried to get some sleep on the couch for a couple of hours. At 6am I gave up and got up. Needless to say I was SHATTERED at the end of the day.
Jane✘ Not a clientYou put the decorations up on Christmas Eve??? Ours go up on the first of December!! (for the kids) 😆
Jane✘ Not a clientWell folks it's Christmas Eve!! Whose excited then? Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. I love Christmas. 🙂
Jane✘ Not a clientWell I've been awake since 4am now, and I got up at 4.45. I just can't sleep, although I want too.
I remember when my two eldest was smaller Martin, they used to wake up around 5am every day, I spent their younger years like a zombie.
Jane✘ Not a clientHello Becky nice to meet you. 🙂
You poor love you do have a lot on your plate don't you.
I've not had to resort to any form of sleeping tablet yet thank goodness, so I can't comment on those.
What is your doctors reason for only prescribing something for 2 months? Does he understand how insomnia affects your life? Is there a more sympathetic doctor you could see?
As Margaret said, we aren't promising a solution but we can all be here with lots of sympathy and advice.
Welcome to the forum, and I hope you had a better night last night. 🙂
Jane✘ Not a clientYep correct.

Jane✘ Not a clientYou plonker. 😆
Jane✘ Not a clientSince parenthood I think Martin. I've been so used to having my sleep constantly interrupted when they were little, I've got used to it. Plus of course I'm constantly worrying about my son, so when I wake up in the night my brain is whirring around thinking about that.
So here I am at 5.55am, just me the cats and google. 🙂
Jane✘ Not a clientYep correct.
