Kik✘ Not a client
Heard this one on the weekend:
A family gather around the bedside of their poorly relative. A Doctor informs all that the only chance of survival would be a brain transplant, but they would have to buy the brain. £5000 for a male brain and £200 for a female one. The women of the group gasp while the men chuckle.
Eventually, a brave member of the family asks the Doctor why the female brain so much cheaper.
“We have to account for depreciation.” explains the Doctor. “The women's brains have to be marked down because they've been used” 😀

But of course. If anyone is ever either side on that strict set of rules of “normal”, they should expect either to be negatively labelled and shunned or hit the pharmacy and get it taken care of 😛
The third option would be to join the Rebel Alliance and take down the Death Star*. Personally, I'm still focussed on earning my wings.
*Metaphorically speaking. Mostly.

I'm the same with ideas so I usually keep my Blackberry or a notebook on my bedside table.
Anxiety (clock watching) plays a part with my insomnia but, especially lately, my main problem is frustration at not being able to get to sleep in the first place.

I love this line.
I understand how it's personal and specifically relevant to both of you, but it works on so many levels. Beautiful.

Insomnia and depression go hand in hand for me too. Depression is something I've struggled with ever since I was a teenager but chronic insomnia (in comparison to other members) is still relatively new to me.
Granted I've had periods of insomnia ever since I can remember but they've been the minority. Now it's the majority, I want it gone and I know I wont miss it.

Traditional books or kindle-type reader?
Kik✘ Not a clientGood times: Have been disciplined enough to work on my novel every day this wee so far.
Bad times: Have had the worst insomnia over this last week to date. (Averaging about three hours a night)

Tequila! It makes me happy!

Agreed.
I was recently told I didn't come across as someone with a sleep problem because I don't walk around like a caffeine-fuelled zombie.
Makes me wonder what insomnia means to people who don't suffer from it 🙄
