Wow, that's an interesting thought! How are they treating that? Is it like cognitive therapy?

In some ways I feel like a fraud here…I have issues sleeping, but I do not class myself as an insomniac.

As Martin had previously mentioned lots of people (if not everyone) has problems with a few sleepless nights now and then, it's almost like it is like a part of the human condition, and I guess I kinda fit between the 2 having problems maintaining any kind of half decent sleep pattern…. sometimes I get a couple of nights where sleep is good, but I'm lucky to 4 hours (which is great and more than a lot of people get here I'm sure). I walk round mosts days with a headache from Hell (I wake up with it, it's there when I do sleep), ever great for the the odd break from that I get during stormy weather…but I digress…

Am I an insomniac? I guess not, but have issues with sleep.

    (OK, gibbering over…sorry!!)

I get a headache, too. It comes on stronger when I can actually sleep all night (like currently) but the sleep quality is terrible. Like really, really bad. I wake up more tired than when I went to bed. Then there's the times of waking up at 3:30 or 4 and not being able to sleep again. Then there's the times of being awake between 2 and 6. And the times of not being able to fall asleep at all.

idk. I have a friend who claims to have insomnia when she gets less than six hours of sleep a night. However, she has a newborn, so it's like um…That happens?

I have always been facinated with tattoos, considering them as living art and a permanent expression of an individual.

I have also really wanted a tattoo for ages, but was told that it could not due to having diabetes and epilepsy, although I was discussing this with a tattooist last weekend and he said it wasn't really an issue, so I'm thinking about having one done soon, although I'm not sure what to have done…

I look forward to seeing what you get.

I LOVE tattoos! I've got two now, but am definitely getting more in the near future. You also wouldn't know of mine unless I told you or was wearing something that would show them off (such as a bathing suit or a midriff shirt). I've a treble cleft on the right side of my waist and an electric bass with a mic entangled in it and a couple bars of music on the left.

I like the idea of a treble cleft. Sounds nifty!

I freaking adore tattoos! My husband has 19 and counting, and will have a lower leg piece by the time he gets home. I have:

    ~Back piece – cascading stars

~The back piece will be continued around my sides and hips next week, me thinks.

    ~A flower on my wrist

~A breast cancer ribbon on the back of my neck, in honor of my mother in law who was recently diagnosed.

~And I'm going to get a half sleeve with an abstract and a quote. Either: Where hope grows miracles blossom or Abscence from those we love is self from self – a deadly banishment.

Then when the husband returns with his tattoo kit, he'll be doing the kids names on my feet. 😀

Oh, I also have a tramp stamp, but we won't go there. Silly me, now I need to cover it. lol

That is interesting! Alexandre Dumas kind of blows my mind. 500 kids? Wow-zah, that's a creative way to spend those hours. lol

I just read a great one called I Know This Much is True by Wally Lamb. omg, awesome! And just got halfway through Shutter Island; so far it's magnificent. I can't seem to put it down.

You know what sucks, though? I bought e-books from B&N and they had the DRM so I couldn't load them onto the e-reader. I was super mad, but lesson learned. I'll get them from the sony store or google books from here out.

I understand your point of view, and it doesn't sound heartless at all. I saw Dad when I was ten and only because I sent him a letter. I was curious, and the curiosity only led to broken dreams.

Eh, sometimes it's best to let sleeping dogs lie. I do wish I had known about Thomas and any others out there before he died, though.
