that's really useful, thank you. 🙂 I'm desperate to find alternatives to Zopiclone, it just messes with my moods too much and it's far too heavy duty.
littlespy✘ Not a clientbecause it already has an over-inflated sense of ego from all the attention it gets.
Has anyone seen my left sock?
littlespy✘ Not a client1. Music – it motivates me pretty much throughout the day.
2. Tea. I'm a true Englishwoman…I drink therefore I am. In fact, I'm pretty sure the teaching profession in this country would crumble without it!
3. Friends. They've literally been a lifeline at times. 🙂
littlespy✘ Not a clientHi Kik…welcome. 🙂
littlespy✘ Not a client“When sorrows come, they come not single spies, but in battalions” That Shakespeare dude knew what he was talking about. It always seems that everything comes at you all at once.
I concur with everyone else, take time to relax and chill out.
littlespy✘ Not a clientI'm a huge Tim Burton fan… I liked Big Fish, it was really nicely done and still had the aesthetics of a Burton film but in an almost gentler way. It had a very storybook feel to it and I found the end genuinely touching.
I loved Sweeney Todd and visually it's stunning. It also happens to be one of my favourite musicals anyway. I think I prefer the stage version I saw and Johnny Depp looked the part but didn't have the voice necessarily to carry off all of Sweeney's songs although he has the presence. Thought the kid that played Toby stole the show actually.
littlespy✘ Not a clientI have extremely eclectic music tastes covering everything from classical, electro, punk, rock, indie, reggae & dub, the list goes on. If people want some interesting smal-ish bands to check out and especially like the indie scene I'd recommend The Wave Pictures & Los Campesinos! I could waffle about music at length though.
If you want hi energy original gypsy punk I recommend my favourite band of all time, Gogol Bordello. They take some getting in to but are well worth the effort. 🙂
littlespy✘ Not a clienthi there. Ditto on the depression and insomnia. I find my meds and being generally exhausted by my job help but I've spent many a night blinking up at the ceiling. Welcome!
littlespy✘ Not a clientIt was a massive shock, I think I'm only just reaching the point now where it seems like reality.
littlespy✘ Not a clientIt's a really fun film. The zombies are kind of not the main focus despite the title, it's more of a road movie which happens to have zombies in. Good movie though. 🙂

I'm very much the same. Music keeps my brain ticking and awake whereas if I listen to radio broadcasts or podcasts I fall asleep much quicker…even commentaries on DVD's work. lol
littlespy✘ Not a client'primaryantagonist' wrote on '06:Zombies! LOL Did you see Pride and Prejudice and Zombies? It's just like Pride and Prejudice, but he's edited zombies into it so the Bennett girls are zombie killers! I haven't read it myself but it sounds really funny!
I think it's being made in to a mini-series soon…there's certainly a graphic novel version on the way.
littlespy✘ Not a clientI am a massive movie fanatic but tend to prefer less mainstream more arty type films, although I do think there's a place for popcorn flicks and silliness at the cinema, I'm not a total film snob.
That said, I value good scripts and good acting and too many films are made purely with lets see how much cash we can make, or never mind the script, check out the shiny CGI in mind. I also despair of the sequel/remake culture. It shows a certain lack of originality of thought. Also I hate patronising chick flicks that presume the only thing a woman can possibly want to do is get married. Bleh. Where has all the good feminist cinema gone?
Anyway, I saw Sherlock Holmes the other day. It's fun but style over substance comes to mind, which is a pity because it was full of really great actors who could have been brilliant if the script had been a bit darker and a little less cartoony. It kind of descended in to silly set pieces which were set ups for slightly naff jokes. Still, looked gorgeous.
I have to state for the record. I f'ing HATED Avatar. Everything I dislike about movie making. Spectacular? Yes. Overblown and boring, absolutely. I was nodding off with my 3D specs on. Also, it was essentially Ferngully in 3D!
I still think my top recent-ish big film was Zombieland. I'm a huge horror fan.
littlespy✘ Not a clientLove them.
I have a celtic triquetra on my right leg just above the ankle and two roses connected by loose petals on my left wrist. I definitely plan to get more, although I have to be careful where due to teaching.
Someone at work called tattoos common and working class the other day, to my amusement pretty much everybody around the table then revealed that they had at least one. Brilliant. 🙂
littlespy✘ Not a clientI can think of really definitive moments in my life but to be really honest to boil them down in to digestible paragraphs would be really hard. Certain moments or people have intense meaning or significance to me because of the thoughts, feelings etc that I had.
I guess recently the things that stand out are the death of my father last April. He died of sudden heart failure, unexpected and instentanous when he got up to go the bathroom one night. It's probably the single most devastating thing to happen to me but also has in the long run helped me to further refine and define my own ideas, sense of identity and priority and to overcome some massive challenges.
Last October I (narrowly) survived a very serious breakdown. Very difficult, very painful and made worse by the actions of someone else, but it also proved my own strength of character and has led me to form a relationship a million times better.
