Oh I am also finding Martins emails very insightful and they are really helping with the frustration. He has some really good ideas, and I find covering up the clocks works better. Before I would watch them and tos and turn and always check now I just think oh well can't see them and I think I fall back asleep sooner.

    Forgot to add that in.

    Hey

I wrote a huge post the other morning hit reply and it never posted and I had to get to work so I never got the chance to rewrite it.

The new job is at a local coffee shop, not the best job but they can give me the hours I need and I start school in the fall and they will work with my schedule.

I have been sleeping not had although last night was not a good night… Just up and down.

That is very good advice teddy I follow that as well, it takes me a while to talk or say something to someone when I am mad because I have to work through it first, make sure it's valid and then think about what I need to say. I am notorious for saying things and not meaning what I said ten trying to pack peddle and reword it or not saying all of why I mean. I hope all works out with you and your friend groggy 🙂

Well time for me to get to work, talk later.

    Have a good night/day!

    Hey!

Hope everyone's week was good. I think work may be part of the problem or all of the problem but I will find out, I gave my 2 week notice yesterday. It's been a while coming just needed to have a plan and a another job before I did it. I have started Martin's sleep therapy and so far I think it has helped still wake up during the night but I have not been as stressed about it or up half the the night … Listening to a sleep meditation before bed I think has helped too because I am relaxed.

Hope you are having a good weekend 🙂

    Hey

Thanks I thought it was a appropriate pic 🙂

My weekend sleep was really good!! Then Sunday came and its was back to being up every hour. Not sure what changed other then my hubby was home (we work seperate shifts so 5 days a week i get the bed to myself) he went back to work sunday night and i didnt sleep well but last night was his night and he was home again and my sleep was worse so I don't think it matters whether i have the bed to myself or not.

Each night is different, I am not sure which nights I dislike the most the ones were I am up for a few hours or the nights where I wake up 10 times, which is Long enough to be awake for maybe 5 min then back to sleep.

I have Downloaded a sleep meditation app which I listen to, to go to sleep and a relaxing music app which I have been turning on if I happen to be awake for longer then 5 min. The one I Listen to before bed I find is calming, but I don't really have a problem falling asleep it's the staying asleep. Since I had pretty good sleep over the weekend haven't had a chance to try out the music one.

All in all my weekend was a good one, I am doing some academic upgrading so I can go hopefully get into college for the fall so most of it was doing homework and some baking, I love to cook 🙂

Hope everything went alright at the vet's.

I am not really sure to be honest… Work had been getting me down, and a few things at home but I sat down and went through all that was troubling me and sorted it out. Decided I am going to try and go back to school, which knowing I had a plan I thought would help. I have worked on getting healthy this past year also, quit smoking last May, started taking a fitness class 2-3 times a week. But still having trouble sleeping, trying to not let it get te best of me 🙂

    Good morning,

The rest of the night didnt go so well, laid there till the alarm went off…. Might have dozed off a little somewhere between 4:30 ish and 5:20. Woke up completely exhausted and a headache and grumpy but the description of tired ted with her cheerleader outfit on made me smile 🙂 well it's time for me to get to work.

Enjoy your day or night depending on where you both are 🙂

    Hey

Well it's 3:30am where I am and I am awake again. I downloaded a sleep meditation app earlier and listened to it before I went to bed…. Didnt work tonight but hoping if I continue it will help. I am going to download a few more and see what they are like too, I am willing to try anything!

I am so glad I am not alone in the crankiness dept…yesterday was a bad day for being moody but I am almost wore out.

Well going to continue laying here, listen to my new app and try and get myself back to sleep!

    Night,

    Monkey 🙂

    Hey Groggy and Tired Ted,

No my job is not flexible 🙁 up at 5:20am to work for 7am-3pm Monday to Friday. That would be nice if it was flexible.

I was reading yor sleep journal groggy and having a project sounds like a good idea, late night tv is really bad I have found.

I enjoy reading your posts and to know I am not alone in this frustrating whatever it is, and tired ted your positive spin on what is seen for me a a negative issue is slowly allowing me to see it in a positive way, which will hopefully help with my lack of sleep crankiness.

One question is there anything that you two do during the days to help with the sleepiness, and sometimes irritabilty(depending on the previous nights sleep)? I have a morning coffee but I try to stay away from it in the afternoon but sometimes I need the extra boost and on other days I will have a energy drink but I try to stay away. I sometimes feel bad because I get so moody and emotional.

I signed up for Martins sleep emails, he said I should hear back in a few days, hoping I do because it sounds like its a big help 🙂

    Hi!

I am new here….My dr told me to try melatonin and magnesium and have been but I find it doesn't keep asleep as I am still up on and off most nights. Last night was my worst I went to bed at 11:30pm was up at 2am until 7:30am and got a few hours of sleep. Which was great except I had to call in sick to work, my work is data entry and we are monitored by how much I get done in a day. Only getting that much sleep means I have end up having bad numbers which goes against me. One good thing about being up some night is my bf works nights so we get to talk (I try and get back to sleep but if it doesn't end up happening then we chat) so there is one positive about all this :). I hoping having others who are going through this I will find ways to live with it or *fingers crossed* get back to sleeping through the night!!!!
