Knowledge is harder to gain sometimes than wealth….but I treasure knowledge more 🙂

Knowledge is definitely more powerful than wealth but, unfortunately, the majority of the wealth in the western world is controlled by people with the opposite mindset!! It's a funny world that we live in!!

I would love to be able to fly so I could see the world without spending a fortune (that I don't have!)

Anybody can be batman though, all he had was knowledge and money, neither of which are particularly super. Granted, money is harder to come by than knowledge but nobody needs mega bucks to make a difference!

Inception. Only positive thing about seeing that movie is I paid half price for my ticket.

I quite liked inception. It confused my ex though and she hated it!

Avatar, Paranormal Activity (I laughed more at this film than anything!) I haven't seen Black Swan but it looked like film where most of the best bits were put in the trailer! Hate it when they ruin a film by showing all the good bits in trailers!

Most old horror films are overrated but I guess back in the day they would have been considered scary or whatever but now they look as scary as wallace and gromit! haha

I always look at the negatives too but I'm getting better…slowly!

The most positive thing about my life is my amazing family and friends! when my girlfriend left me a couple of months ago, they all stood up for me and made me realise how lucky I am to have such awesome people in my life!! 😀

That's great to hear! It's hard to find a new doctor, and one that'll meet yours needs; congrats for getting over that hurdle. Here's hoping you have smooth sailing with doctors/prescriptions from now on. 🙂

    Me too!! Haha 🙂

    This weekend…

I am planning on going to Glasgow with my mum overnight on Friday; Have my friends 2 little kids stay over on saturday and maybe visit friends on sunday if I'm awake enough!! haha. I love having my car!!! haha

Decided that I need to do more things rather than being stuck in the house all the time when I am tired! It seems to be helping me focus on life a little bit more, rather than sleep. Sleep is still not happening very well but I'm just enjoying the sun while it's here (Scotland's not usually the sunniest place!)

The idiot shrink who prescribed Serzone for me wouldn't look me in the eye, either. Serzone is for depressed people who are having problems sleeping. I, however, was an insomniac who was depressed, and it merely kept me more and more awake. If I said it wasn't helping, that it was keeping me awake, he just kept increasing the dosage–and this was after I'd said in the beginning that sleep meds do not work for me at all. I did finally fire him, after I was getting so little sleep that my body just wanted to collapse from standing position: my knees kept trying to buckle.

It IS weird to have a professional not look you in the eye during an appointment!

I genuinely believe they hide behind their intelligence!! If pills don't work then they are confused!! Instead of looking stupid in front of a patient, they choose not to look you in the eyes because they are embarrassed that their previous opinion was wrong but too powerful to want to admit it!! Every 'treatment' I've ever tried works backwards on me I reckon…joys of being left handed I reckon! 😛 If I didn't laugh about it all I'd cry…can you tell?!!

I will keep you updated 🙂 I hope it was worth the battle but just getting a doctor to listen to me for once has been reward enough!! haha

“I was … ended up having to repeat a year as my attendance was less than 50%.” I almost had to repeat a year, but thankfully I was transferred early out of my senior year at high school and into alternative classes at a local Tech/University, where I ended up finishing within a few months (by Christmas break, to be accurate). My alternative classes went from 11 to 3, and were by individual basis rather than class; looking back, I can say that I was very grateful for it! I hadn't been at the classes long, but because they started so late, it was much easier to accommodate night-owl tendencies and I had less stress over being alert and ready to work each day.

And with saying that some people just thrive better at night, I can definitely testify to that. I agree: I'm in the right place! 🙂

Thanks again for all your eager welcomes. Hope the day/night's treating you well!

I'm glad you got a transfer to a better learning environment before it meant repeating a year. I am grateful that I did have to repeat the year as my best friend now is a girl I met in my new year, as are all of my friends from school that I still see!

Before I repeated, I was put on a part time timetable so didn't start until 10 and got to miss gym. It was ok but I still struggled to cope with the night time alertness! It took me a couple years after I repeated to 'crack' that, just in time for my highers starting. After school though, it got worse because I didn't HAVE to get up at any certain time. I never got in to University when I applied so I took advantage of being able to sleep all day while I figured out what I was doing with my life!

Granted, I still don't really know what to do with my life but I am trying to train myself how to actually function in this daylight worshipping world by keeping busy during the day doing things that can only be done from 9 til 5 (banking, calling companies etc), also spend a lot of time with the kids in my family which can only be done during the day too.

Thanks to Martin we now all have a place to rant or ramble to get things out of our head that is keeping us awake! This has to be the best online forum I have ever joined! 🙂

Wow, that was a long letter! Did you plan on it being so long when you started out?

I always admire people that actually take action rather than complain. Too many people grumble but don't do anything about it. You're trying to hold politics to account, and that is admirable.

Do you have any plans on writing to Nick Clegg? Didn't he 'sell out' supporters of his party more than Cameron did?

I have no interest in Nick Clegg. He did sell out every single person (including myself) that voted for his party so I think he is a lot less likely to listen than David Cameron. He certainly never seems that bothered that he sold out his party for the opportunity to be known as prime minister at some point in his own little life! I don't think he would not have been anywhere near as high up as deputy prime minister if he had sided with labour AND he would have been blamed for EVERY change that affected the better off in Britain! Democratic politics are supposed to help the MAJORITY but, in Britain, the majority are on anti depressants or alcoholic or a drug user or forced to live on benefits! I hope he does listen soon!!

I hate complaining so decided to do something about the cause of my complaints! Politicians are pretty much responsible for every problem either myself or a member of my family are experiencing. I have a very dysfunctional family, could quite easily make up at least one whole series on Jeremy Kyle, so the types of problems facing my nearest and dearest are extremely varied but I know that politicians have the power to change it all, if they can accept that they don't know ALL the answers!! They might never listen to me but I hope that they do eventually!! Might have to start sending more letters if they don't!! haha
