Hi Lin
Thanks for sharing. I also sometimes have the experience of sleeping very well for some time and then having a bad night (or even a couple of bad nights). I often end up feeling angry at myself as if I‘d done something wrong or worried because I‘m afraid that the training is not working.
I guess it really helps to remember that sleep is not something we can control and starting to focus on other things. I do still struggle with that.
Keep going!
Hi richarlk
Thanks for sharing your experience. I recognize the harsh voice that is judging you for not doing the exercise perfectly. But I think 5 out of 7 nights sounds already really good 🙂 it‘s a work in progress right. I wish you a good journey!
Hi Karenj
To feel envious of other people‘s experiences is never a good feeling and I can relate to that. I often feel ashamed of my envy which is a vicious cycle in itself. I try to just accept it and look at my needs and hurt behind the envy – in this case the distress and longing for sleeping well. And then trying to accept and embrace those needs.
I wish you good luck with the sleep training. It’s great that you’ve started it 🙂
