A honey ham and cheese sandwich, some iced coffee, and now my second (or third?) Pepsi Max. (The caffeinated beverages in succession is the norm for me.)

Trying to wrap up in winter. I love the feeling of being slightly cold, but snuggled up in blankets.

    Soup or salad???

I hope your insomnia cycle improves. I think most of us here can relate to what you're talking about, Dagaz73. Sleeping medicine has always been a mixed bag for me…I find Ambien and Valium work the best, but tolerance builds up quickly. I also have trazadone, but that one doesn't work as well. Good luck getting some rest, and welcome.

Chipotle is the best, though it's been too long since I've had some. Welcome to the forum. I hope your inosmnia is short-lived, but you're welcome here either way.

Welcome to the group. I think it's fantastic that you can write 6 novels at one time and still find time to essentially be a mental health advocate. Kudos to you. I look forward to seeing more of your posts.

Pepsi Max, Honey Ham and Swiss Cheese sandwich, and a Tex-Mex Veggie burger with sharp cheddar. (I was hungry.)

Is that the one where Lois becomes a surrogate but then wants an abortion when the parents die? I saw that the other day. It was OK, but there have definitely been better episodes!

    Martin– Yep, that's the one.

In other news, I watched “A Nightmare on Elm Street” (the 2010 version.) I'm always skeptical of remakes and sequels, but horror tends to fare better IMO. I liked the remakes of “Friday the 13th” which Michael Bay also produced, but this one was more on par with his other horror remake production credit, “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.” It was visually very stunning, and I liked the “reimagined” Freddy, but it felt kind of flat and was lacking in tension.

I'm excited to watch the “banned from TV” episode of Family Guy. It's called, “Partial Terms of Endearment” I don't know much about it other than it was banned and released on DVD. I'm a huge Family Guy fan so I'm looking forward to it. I rented it and will let you all know how it is.

I'm about to read some of the Bleach manga. I also am listening to some music. And of course, checking up on Insomnia Land. Trying to make the most out of an early morning.

Cherry–Sorry you are going through this. Believe me, we all understand. I understand your reluctance to take pills, and I myself feel iffy about herbal treatments, but they do work for some people. One thing I like to do sometimes, is play some (relaxing?) music while laying in bed. Sometimes I get lucky and fall asleep fine, but if not, it at least gives me something to focus on besides everything going on in my head and my insomnia.
