After reading some posts here, I started reading 'The hitchhikers guide to the galaxy'.

I'll let you know later how it's coming along but it looks promising…

    Hi xdunlapx,

I'm struggling with one of the problems you have. I'm also obese and I have a hard time loosing weight.

I've started on a program which actually helped really good.

It's a group thing. We have 3 sessions a week.

2 of them is just working out in the gym at the center. But you are under constant guidance of a psychiotherapist.

In the other session we learn about healthy food with the dietist and about coping with the cravings and temptations out there.

So far I've lost 12 kilo (26.4 lbs) but since I'm on sick leave I've gained back 2 kilos (4.4 lbs).

So I really need to get it together and restart again.

But it's difficult. I'm very tired and drowsy all the time.

I just haven't got the energy to go to the gym or to watch what I eat.

Then there's the guilt. Do you sometimes have the feeling you're not taking care of your body like you should? I sometimes wonder if wasn't overweight and could sleep just fine, maybe things would be alright.

Indeed there is, but it's not a great succes. It will probably last too long.

Today a new round (n°7) of negotiations was started. Yet another approach.

Wondering why you're trying to answer the phone with the remote control when actually it's your alarmclock that's ringing.

For the moment I'm reading the “quantum gravity” series by Justina Robson. I finished the 2nd book yesterday and now I'm waiting to get the third one delivered by mail.

It's really hard to get English books around here. I order them on 'thebookdepository.com'. The don't charge mail costs.

I don't have a favourite book. I've read to many. I do have some favourite authors:

    Janet Evanovich (Stepanie Plum series)

    Kelley Armstrong (Otherworld series)

    Richelle Mead (Succubus series)

Charlaine Harris (Southern Vampire Mysteries) I like the books better than the series. Although I keep watching. I just can't get enough of Eric Northmann, yummy!

L.J. Smith (Vampire Diairies, Secret Circle, Nightworld)

    Dan Brown

Anthony Horrowitz (The power of five)

Stephenie Meyer (especially 'The Host', not so much the Twilight series)

There are many more, but those are the ones I can think of right now.

    GOOD TIMES:

    – 2 nights in a row, I slept decent (Last time that happened is was still 2010)

    – put one of the kids bicycles for sale on the internet and it was sold the same day

    BAD TIMES:

    – had to take meds (zolpidem) to have 2 decent nights

    – starting my fourth week of sick-leave tomorrow

All in all, things are not that bad. I'm not too drousy during the day from the meds. Just can't sleep without them. But hey, I'm not the only one, right?

By the way, still no government. Negotiations have just stopped because the differences were to 'far apart'. Back to square one for the nth time. And the people just go on living their lives.

We are obliged to vote. But your vote doesn't count if you write, draw, etc. on it. Also if you vote for 2 names who aren't on the same party it doesn't count.

So you can screw your vote, but it goes to waste then so I'm not sure wether that is a good solution either.
