      Hi everybody! It’s been three months since I finished the course with Martin. I used to have high anxiety for not getting enough sleep. It got worse after reading a book about sleep, and how important it is. I could go 48 hours without sleeping on the worst days. It was really bad for a year and the I signed up for Martin’s course. Now it’s getting better every day. On a bad night I sleep for 5 hours, and there is always a reason for it- «such as stress at work- not insomnia», but on most days I sleep between 6-8 hours. I think I have had a bad night maybe 3-4 times in the last three months. If I have a bad night I just get out of bed and watch TV until I feel tired again. I always fall asleep. I still feel a bit shaky about sleep, but my confidence is growing stronger every day.

      In Martins class I used to wake up at 6am. I still do that and work out.
      I don’t need the exercise in order to sleep anymore. I have found that it has no effect, and it took a long time for me to understand that, but it’s a nice habit that I have decided to keep 🙂 so I’m in a better shape now, than before I started the program 😀

          It’s so great to hear how well you’re doing, three months after we stopped working together, Line!

          It sounds as though you are now able to recognize any obvious causes of sleep disruption (rather than worrying that your insomnia has returned) and you now know exactly how to respond to any difficult nights!

          Because of your own efforts, you are now sleeping significantly better and have only experienced three or four difficult nights over the last 90 nights! If that’s not evidence of your natural ability to sleep well and a sign that you know exactly how to avoid perpetuating sleep disruption, I don’t know what is!

          As you said, you will always fall asleep! Sleep drive always wins in the end!

            It’s great to be back to normal 🙂 I hope more people find out about you. I talked with a friend last night who has been starting to freak out about sleep because of all the articles she has read about it lately. I told her about this program and that you don’t need 8 hours. She was sooo happy she talked to me about this, and she said everybody is so focused on sleep now because it’s a trendy subject. It is defiently the book “Why we sleep” that kickstarted the problems for me. I will keep on telling people about this program 🙂
