Hello
My name is Scott. I am giving an update on my insomnia. I completed the course about 6 months ago. It is been about 11 months since my severe 3 month insomnia episode. Today, I am sleeping about 7 hrs a night. I still wake up a couple times a night, but I pretty much fall asleep right away. Which didn’t happen before. Occasionally, I have a little bit of a rough nights sleep (which happens to everyone), But it doesn’t happen very much. Which I am so happy about. Especially, in this time of anxiety and depression. I had a conditioned arousal, anxiety problem as soon as I tried to sleep. Which makes sleep super hard. Now, it is pretty much gone. Also, I go to bed at around the same time and get up at the same time. Even, if I don’t fall asleep right away, I still stay in bed. I only get out if I am anxious or frustrated. Basically, just try and relax. Usually, I fall asleep pretty quickly. When you are locked in insomnia “hell”, it can feel so defeating. There is a way out for sure. I set up my routine and never take my sleep for granted. Like I used to. I started a new job, I draw, workout, etc. I am living my life. Not letting insomnia dictate it for me. If you are still struggling, please don’t give up. It will get better. Your body will let you sleep. I don’t let things bother my like they did before. If it happens it will happen. No use worrying about it. Life is too short not to live it! Congratulations to everyone who got their life back. Also, to those still having a hard time. Keep at it. We have all been in the same boat. I will gladly help anyway I can, as I know others will also. Thanks you and sweet dreams!!!
