      My biggest sleep challenge is anxiety at night. Panic attacks that keep me up out of fear of not sleeping.
      I’ve tried ambien. The side effects only increase my anxiety and I usually only get 4 hours. Benzos work best for me. Klonopin has minimal hangover effect. My plan is to sleep consistently and get off of these. This is not my first run in with chronic insomnia. But klonopin got me through about three years ago.

        Please take it easy on yourself and speak with your doctor about a schedule to slowly ween off the medication. I hate taking medicine too and still do on “as-needed basis” not daily. But the longer I’m off it the better I feel, even when I only have a couple hours of sleep.
