Hello there.. I have been suffering from insomnia for 7 months. There were many ups and downs in the road but what i noticed is that i have been doing quite well since 1 months despite having nights with poor sleep now and then. I had sleepless nights before but the next night i slept even for some hours. And i have become somewhat ok with that.. But recently i had two completely sleepless night. I was awake for 62 hours straight. This incident has shaken me emotionally and physically. I have experienced too much fatigue, brain fog,. How can i explain this. I got my fears back. I am consistently in fear of having this again..everyone says we can’t lose the ability to sleep but when sleep vanishes for days its very easy to forget..
Can anyone help me how can i approach this kind of incident?
Its more like i am ok with two sleepless nights but not three..

Fear is normal and understandable and it’s a sign that your brain is looking out for you.

If there was a magic wand I could wave to get rid of wakefulness and all the really difficult thoughts and feelings that like to come with it, I would wave it for you and get rid of all that difficult stuff for you. Heck, I wouldn’t even charge you!! Free wand waves for you and for everyone else, too!

Unfortunately, such a magic wand doesn’t exist. Let’s pretend it did, though — if it did, what would you be doing differently with your life?
