Before I worked with Martin Reed, I had tried three different insomnia coaching companies and read several books on insomnia with no changes in my insomnia. I had always had mild to moderate insomnia–found it hard to fall asleep and woke up very early every morning not being able to fall back asleep. However, do to some life issues, I developed acute insomnia and felt in a very desperate situation. I took Martin’s course and did the one-on-one coaching. At first, I was frustrated that I couldn’t listen to the course as fast as I wanted. I would’ve listened to the whole thing non-stop. I was crazy about reading about and researching insomnia and desperate to make it stop. However, Martin’s course and coaching quickly helped me to see that there wasn’t a quick fix. There was no “do this and it will just go away this week.” However, I felt like everything Martin said and helped me with was so spot on to what I was feeling and going through. I loved how in the one-on-one coaching, he didn’t have a one size fits all approach. His coaching was awesome and combined with the course, it is exactly what I needed. It took a few months, but my insomnia started improving step by step. No one likes to hear that it might take months to fix your acute insomnia, but this is the good news–it absolutely works and it blesses you for the rest of our life. It has been a year since I finished the course, and my sleep is truly better than even before my acute insomnia began. I no longer wake up really early without being able to fall back asleep. I can actually sleep in if I want to, which is something I hadn’t been able to do for decades. I usually fall asleep rather quickly now, but when I don’t, I’m not stressed, and it doesn’t become a pattern. I never wake up in the middle of the night and can’t fall back asleep now. I do not worry about my insomnia returning, because the skills I gained weren’t a quick fix–they were real knowledge and skills that now allows me to navigate any hard nights that might come up without stress or worry. I also used to have the hardest time adjusting back from major time zone changes, and now that is so much easier as well, due to the knowledge and skills gained. I can’t recommend this course highly enough. The teachings and processes are so spot on and helpful. You absolutely CAN fix insomnia and find restful sleep again.
