      Hello to everyone out there:)
I am willing to implement CBTI techniques, but I’m very afraid of implementing a sleep window which is only 5 + 1/2 hours long. At the moment my average sleep duration is probably about 4 hours per night, so I know in that case it is recommended to start with a sleep window that is 5 + 1/2 hours long. And I know that it actually sounds paradoxical, that alotting 5 + 1/2 hours for sleep makes me so worried, because I only get 4 hours of sleep on a average night anyway. But still the idea that I have to follow that makes me super nervous and worried, that I am just wondering now, if it makes any sense then to implement that sleep window. I would feel way more relaxed, If I would knew my sleep window would count 6 + 1/2 hours, but at the same time I’m wondering If it is still effective then. So is there any advice? Would you still encourage to start with a shorter sleep window (even if it makes me worrying a lot) or would it be in that case more effective to keep the sleep window a little bit longer (even if actually recommended to start with 5 + 1/2 hours in my case)? I would be very thankful for any recommendation!

If six-and-a-half hours is less than the amount of time you currently allot for sleep, that would still be a fantastic start! No need to go “all in” right from day one!

Yes it definitely is less time, I followed this sleep window the last days and already noticed some positive effects, so I will continue with that, thank you!:)
