Sleep issues started back in September with restless leg syndrome. It was an annoyance but once I fell asleep I didn’t have any issues so it didn’t cause insomnia. I started taking CBD/CBN gummies and it got rid of the RLS. Fast forward to Mother’s Day of this year and I had my first entire night of zero sleep and it sent me into absolute panic mode. My anxiety skyrocketed and it was a spiral from there. I stumbled across the sleep coach school YouTube channel and learned a lot. It initially helped with my anxiety a bit and helped me to continue about my day as if I had had great sleep. However, my anxiety is still pretty bad and I am having such fragmented sleep. I can fall asleep decently but I am up one hour later every night and from then on it’s a battle of falling back asleep or just being in super light sleep. I try not to catatstrophize but I’m terrified this is my new norm and I don’t know how to start seeing just any little improvement. I feel stuck. Help 😞

        Welcome to the forum, Tara!

That anxiety is really difficult, right? How do you respond to it when it shows up after you wake during the night?

From your own experience, does engaging in a battle to fall back to sleep when you wake during the night make falling back to sleep easier?
