Hi all im really battling this insomnia but as its occurred so rapidly im starting to get confused if the way the lack of sleep is making me feel or am i depressed. For example i went out friday had a few drinks and slept for 10 hours thinking my insomnia was over but after that nothing and the sleeplessness is making me feel lethsrgic distant detached all symptoms of depression. I think if i getva decent sleep ill know myself as tiredness scrambles your thoughts. Anyone have a view

Hi yes I was sleeping perfectly well then my son had some health issues. I was supporting him but think i was stressed and hadnt been paying attention to my mental health. I woke uo feeling different anxious etc and ive struggled since to the point i thought it was a mild depression. However i have started to feel better and am sleeping better. I cant really believe it to be honest. Im not back to normal yet but am functioning better and my sleep is better. Im hoping the trigger that caused it is wearing off and im on the road to recovery. But dont want to count my chickens. Just taking each day at a time now. Thanks
