      Hi Martin and Everyone,

Just wanted to say thank you so much for the help you have been to me. I have been watching your u tubes and currently on Day 5 of the free course.

I have had chronic insomnia for about 12 years, on and off. I have had periods of success but with life events sometimes being tough (deaths, health issues, a family accident) I have often had times of regression. I have tried a LOT of things, and feel I have been very committed in attempts, and worked very hard….yet still struggle SO much.

At the start of the Pandemic (I work as Infection Control Nurse) work became very stressful and sleep struggles worsened. Because I knew sleep was important for immunity and I didn’t want to catch Covid the struggle for sleep intensified. Creating a downward spiral.

I enrolled in another course, Sleepio and after a tough three months (my patterns are pretty ingrained!) I started to sleep 6 hours per night and began to think less about sleep. Amazing! The sleep restriction and techniques did work!

However, then I had a new patch of stress at work and I began waking up at 3:15 or 4 each night and being unable to return. I started to despair as this was my last resort!

Anyway I found you and am gaining new knowledge and a little more hope.

Thanks for walking with me on this difficult journey , especially as I haven’t paid you anything yet, I am very grateful
      Alison 🙂

Welcome, Alison! Since you were able to improve your sleep before, there’s no reason to believe you won’t be able to improve your sleep again! Remember that it’s normal for sleep to be temporarily disrupted at times of stress or worry — I think it would be more unusual for an infection control nurse to sleep really well during a pandemic!

As we adapt to times of stress or worry, or the initial trigger of our sleep disruption is no longer an issue, sleep usually recovers by itself. If it doesn’t, you are already ahead — because you know exactly what to do to get your sleep right back on track!

If you are ready to stop struggling with insomnia you can enroll in the online insomnia coaching course right now! If you would prefer ongoing phone or video coaching calls as part of a powerful three month program that will help you reclaim your life from insomnia, consider applying for the Insomnia Mastery program.
