      i have been suffering from insomnia for abut 12 years,it started out off the blue when i was on nights.i have been to the doctors,they dont help.as i write this blog i have gone 7 days without any sleep,i have tried all the technickes that are on offer but none work.i have tried all sleeping tablets that have no effect.so now i dont know what to do,can anybody please help me,because its really affecting my whole life.

        You said that you have tried all the techniques on offer but none work — does this include cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I) techniques?

        Do you still work nights? If not, can you tell us when you usually go to bed at night, when you get out of bed to start your day, and roughly how many hours of sleep you get on an average/typical night?
