Can the same logic for proper sleep using the CBTI method be applied to CPAP’s?

I do not have low energy or get sleepy during the day when not using my CPAP. It also makes little or no difference on my sleep duration. I have been recently tested by a certified sleep tech and found that my Oxygen level is in the safe zone when not using my CPAP. I realize for liability reasons you cannot tell me to not use it without doctors approval. I am just looking for your general input. I am continuing to use a CPAP but sometimes let it slide after 4 or 5 hrs of wearing it due to the discomfort factor. It makes it hard to fall back asleep after waking up. Do you feel it is more beneficial to forgo a couple of hours sleep every night versus getting a couple more hours of shut eye without wearing the contraption? Cheers, Bob

Unfortunately, I cannot suggest or recommend anything other than using your CPAP as prescribed, Bob. If you haven’t already done so, you might want to raise your concerns with your doctor and/or discuss different masks/pressure settings/alternative devices. It can sometimes take a while to find a CPAP solution that is easily tolerated.
