      This Doctor appeared on a magazine show today with a few tips to get a good night's sleep:

      I wasn't convinced enough to head out and buy the book she was pushing, but I liked the cut of her gip especially when she talked about there not being a one-size fits all approach to getting to sleep.

          Interesting read Kik, I have tried power naps, usually for 20 minutes in the afternoon I'm just done in by that time and I have found when I take this naps I have a surge of energy till the evening rolleyes.gif

          I like what this doctor had to say, specially the don't worry if you don't get 8 hours, that has been a big mental block for me. Concerned I dont have enough sleep has led to me having less sleep.

            Agreed. I got rid of my bedside alarm clock ages ago because I spent so time clock watching and working out how many hours of sleep I had left before the morning. I try and go by how I feel in the day rather then how much sleep I think I need. Problem is I'm always tired :huh:

              Power naps are something I've never achieved. I can't sleep that short a period deliberately!

              Mostly I found the article full of same old, same old–except for the bit about breakfast first thing. I do that, I get sleepy within an hour and am useless, brain-dead, and don't dare drive.
