      Hello!

      So my insomnia journey started about 2.5 years ago when I had a pretty rough breakup with my ex. I’m not sure what happened, I just remember waking up in the middle of the night on the first day, and having rapid heart beats, and every day after that, I’ve kind of had the same problem. I got quickly over the breakup situation, but the constant struggle to sleep, have poor quality sleep, or wake up too early kept nagging.

      Fast forward – I am still struggling, but it is for sure better than it used to be. Not worrying about sleep has helped a lot, and a good diet.

        Glad to hear things are a better than they used to be! If insomnia sticks around when the initial trigger is no longer present (or relevant) that’s often because of a change in how we approach sleep.

        So, if we compare our past approach to sleep when it wasn’t an issue or a concern with our current approach when things are feeling more difficult or complicated we might be able to identify some helpful insights 🙂
