      Hi All,
I have been struggling with falling asleep and oftentimes also staying asleep.
It’s brutal and has been happening lately for the past few months.
I related it to worrying about a job that I didn’t feel prepared to do and menopause.
Once I stopped the job, things have improved but it’s still not great.
      It’s like I can’t drop off…
I sometimes resort to Ambien or Trazadone if needed and i’d prefer to stop that.
I have also been struggling with hernaited cervical disks making me uncomfortable.
My plan is to get a new cervical pillow.
I have been trying to get up and read or eat something if I can’t sleep. I read about CBT-I and figured I would sign up and learn more!

Hi Amy – welcome to the forum and thanks for signing up to learn more about CBT-I techniques. It’s understandable that stressing about your job and other significant life events can cause some temporary sleep disruption. When that stressor has gone and we continue to have difficulty sleeping, it’s usually because we’ve changed our thoughts and behaviors toward our sleep that perpetuates the issue.

I’m sure you’ll find the course and information on this website beneficial. If you have questions or difficulty implementing any portion of it, simply let us know and we’ll try to work through those with you.
