      Hello Everyone

I’ve had insomnia for a few weeks now. Either I fall asleep right away and wake up 2 hours later having a very difficult time falling back asleep or I can’t fall asleep at all, tossing and turning and pacing the floor the whole night. I’m trying a couple of hobbies in order to keep my mind occupied from the anxiety and fear of going to sleep. Too much technology and not enough hands on activities in my life. I bought and borrowed art supplies from my friend and I shall start creating. It sure beats worrying about sleep all the time which drives me crazy. I’ll see what happens.

      Take care peeps

Welcome to the forum, shaner37. Since your insomnia began relatively recently, as long as you don’t try to compensate for lost sleep by doing things like going to bed early, napping during the day, staying in bed later than normal, canceling plans or calling in sick to work, your sleep should get back on track by itself.

How are you getting on at the current time? Any improvements yet?

If you are ready to stop struggling with insomnia you can enroll in the online insomnia coaching course right now! If you would prefer ongoing phone or video coaching calls as part of a powerful three month program that will help you reclaim your life from insomnia, consider applying for the Insomnia Mastery program.

I’ve noticed improvements in my sleep after taking your free course. I’ve been getting 5-6 hours the last 5 days, still not the 7-8 I normally got before this recent bout of the I word(will not say that word) but that’s ok. The fear, anxiety and worry isn’t as strong as it once was and I don’t have the obsession of sleep during the day any more. I realize if I don’t have a good night of sleep it’s not the end of the world, just restart the next night. I also printed out all 14 days of your course and have them nearby in a file just in case I need to look thru the material again . Your youtube snippets are very helpful and I’ve watched every one of them.

I’m not going to get my hopes up but I do feel a million times better than I did 2 or 3 weeks where I thought I was going crazy and I’d be institutionalized because of not sleeping well (crazy mind). I’m going to be patient and try to avoid those sleep mistakes and do all the right things mentioned in your course

          Thanks for being there, Martin.

Hi Shaner. I took the free CBT course as well and also found it helpful. I also printed out all of the e-mails and review them from time to time. Hope you are getting better.

Thanks Steve! Feeling better and sleeping better during the last week but it’s difficult to change negative sleeping habits that I’ve been doing for years especially not looking at the alarm clock at night.

Hope all is well with you
